‘Truly deplorable’ - Apartment residents live with health, safety threats - Indianapolis Recorder

On August 14th, Arborstone apartments was cut off from all water supply. Under pressure from community members and media outlets, management paid minimum amounts to restore Citizen Energy service. Ensuring that residents received necessary help, The Ross Foundation organized a community day to help residents in need of food, resources and a way out of what he and others have described as deplorable living conditions. The Christian Legal clinic provided advice to residents, Eastern Start Church and Lawrence Community Gardens provided fresh produce and food items. The Ross Foundation and Old Navy executed a community clean up. Arborstone Apartments are now under new management and the property manager has been fired. READ MORE
